Bishop Stephens
Bishop Roger Stephens Sr. was called into ministry by the Lord in 1992 and received his ordination papers on June 2, 1996 under the auspices of Apostle Martha Gould of the Holy Ghost Tabernacle Church in Bridgeport, CT. And on May 16, 1997 they were issued their licenses to pastor World Ministries which was incorporated in September 1996. The ministry was officially founded in 1996.
Bishop Stephens is a graduate of University of New Haven with a B.S. in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership Studies from Regent University. He also holds a Doctorate Degree in Theological Studies from the North Carolina School of Theology. He is the author of a book called “I AM that I AM” published by Tate Publishing Company.
He is the overseer of World Ministries International in Virginia Beach under Pastor Roger Stephens Jr; Beth Shalom Agape Ministries in Hamden, CT under Pastor Vivian Elbert and Elder Charles Elbert; and Ministerio Del Mundo under the auspices of Pastor Joel Ayala.

Matthew 13:3-4,8-9, 18-19, 23 instructs us on how important the word and “message of the Kingdom” is to every believer: “And He spoke many things to them in parables, saying, behold, a sower went forth to sow; and when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up, but other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who have ears to hear, let him hear. Hear therefore the parable of the sower. When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and takes away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Prophetess Ruth
Prophetess Ruth Stephens was also called into ministry by the Lord in 1992. The prophetic anointing was evident right from the birth of their ministry. They heard His call to start a ministry through their young daughter. She told them that God wanted them to go into ministry and she gave them the scripture verse from 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” After wrestling with the scripture overnight, their daughter came back with the name of the ministry from the Lord, “World Ministries.”
Prophetess Stephens received her ordination papers on June 2, 1996 under the auspices of Apostle Martha Gould of the Holy Ghost Tabernacle Church (Non-denominational) in Bridgeport, CT. On May 16, 1997 she was licensed to pastor World Ministries here in Virginia in September 1996.
Prophetess Stephens took various ministry courses and seminars over the years and has trained and ordained ministers and leaders as laborers in the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Through the Lord’s anointing and instructions, she was officially placed into the office of then Prophet by the laying on of the hands of the presbytery and by the Bishop. The Lord has placed the woman of God tremendously and her gift as Prophetess and Seer is evident. He speaks to her. Her word from God is non-traditional as she is called to lead a people back to Christ. Our gifts line up with the Word and with the one who is the WORD.
Prophetess Ruth Stephens was called out of the medical field into ministry, working for Community Health Care Plan for several years. She worked as a medical records clerk for the Veterans Administrative Hospital and received her education from R.C. Lee High School and graduated from the Connecticut Skills Center in New Haven, CT. Her plans to further her education are on-going.
Prophetic Word:
2 Chronicles 20:20: “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established; believe His prophets, so shall you prosper.” Amos 3:7: “Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.”
Sr. Pastor Roger Jr
Pastor Roger Stephens Jr. was called into ministry by the Lord in 1998 and received his ordination and license to become a Pastor of World Ministries in 2011 under the auspices of Pastors Roger and Ruth Stephens. He became the Sr. Pastor of World Ministries on January 31, 2016 under the auspices of Bishop Roger and Prophetess Ruth Stephens.
Sr. Pastor Roger Stephens is a graduate of Tallwood High School and after a brief stint at Liberty University, decided that he would enter into the construction field. He started out as a general laborer and with God’s favor has now become a supervisor on his current job. He is a born leader, but yet a gentle shepherd. You have to meet him personally; your life will be changed.
Sr. Pastor Roger Stephens has taken various ministry courses and seminars over the years and has quickly become the “people’s pastor” and helps to shepherd and lead them into the Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is a “prophetic” pastor – operating in a prophetic and pastor’s anointing.
He is currently moving forward in the business realm with Proven Productions which speaks of the journey of a young man that has been “tried by the fire” and proven by God to be real!

“I hear the heart of the Lord to the Apostle Peter: “Peter, if you love me feed my sheep!” My love for Jesus translates into my love for His sheep. I need to find myself deeply listening to His heart for His sheep so that it may translate into the ministry!”
